It looks like the upcoming remix version of Charli XCX’s ‘Brat’ album is set to feature a collaboration with The 1975.

Since the release of the original album in June, Charli’s sixth studio record has gone on to make some huge waves across the music industry and become a pop culture phenomenon – gaining fans in Vice President Kamala Harris, former POTUS Barack Obama, NATO and more.
While the singer recently confirmed that ‘Brat’ summer has officially come to an end, she also revealed that a new version of the record is on the way: ‘Brat and it’s completely different but also still brat’. Set for release on October 11, the project seems to be a remix album.
Based on the Spotify pre-save page, it looks like the LP contains 16 songs – five of which are previously released remixes of songs from the original tracklist. So far the new edition has been previewed with ‘Von Dutch’ featuring Addison Rae, ‘Girl, So Confusing’ with Lorde, ‘360’ with Robyn and Yung Lean, ‘Guess’ with Billie Eilish, and ‘Talk Talk’ with Troye Sivan, plus a spoken contribution from Dua Lipa.
Now, it looks like the ‘360’ singer has also teamed up with The 1975 for the project.
The speculation comes as a new board has been seen in Manchester with the same shade of green used on the album cover. It also features ‘the 1975’ written in lowercase, framed on the right hand side and inverted — the same style used for the ‘Brat’ remix artwork.

It’s worth noting too that the poster has only been spotted in Manchester — the same city that the band originate from – and Charli already has close connections to them as she is engaged to drummer George Daniel.
Charli already revealed recently that the ‘Brat’ song ‘Talk Talk’ was written about nearly following The 1975’s George Daniel into the toilet at the 2020 NME Awards.
She first began working with the The 1975 drummer back in 2021, when they teamed up to record the track ‘Spinning’. They later went on to confirm their romance on social media in 2022, before announcing their engagement last November.
The connection to The 1975 stems beyond George Daniel too. In June, it was reported that the band’s frontman, Matty Healy had seemingly announced his engagement to Gabbriette Bechtel during a Charli XCX show. Shortly after the gig, Healy’s mother Denise Welch confirmed the news in an interview, saying that she “couldn’t be more thrilled”.
This isn’t the first billboard to hint at an upcoming collaboration on the ‘Brat’ remix album to be spotted this week. Just yesterday (October 1) it was reported that similar posters were seen by fans, teasing tracks starring Bon Iver and Tinashe.
Various other potential names have already been circulating online, including Madonna, Caroline Polachek, SOPHIE and Grimes.
In a four-star review of ‘Brat’, NME wrote: “On the self-described “club record”, XCX offers pure party girl hedonism. Percolating beats, brash synths, left-field production and vocal lines that flit between bratty quips or honest one-liners.”
“With ‘Brat’, XCX demonstrates that going her own way will always sound pretty good,” it added.

Meanwhile, Charli XCX and Sivan are currently on the US leg of their ‘Sweat’ tour, which NME said in a five-star review saw “former pop underdogs cement their status as arena-slaying icons”.
It went on: “Both Sivan and XCX have spent time as pop’s underdogs – niche at the start of their respective careers but, in hindsight, always ahead of the game. As they wrap up the night with performances of their collaborations ‘1999’ and the ‘Talk Talk’ remix, it’s clear that they’ve both not just mastered their craft but are now getting the recognition they deserve. ‘Brat’ summer might be over, but these two are just getting started.”
