News of the forthcoming tour dates come ahead of the ‘90s alt-rock legends heading over to the UK, and playing their first show with the classic line-up in 14 years.

The moment took place at the surprise show at Bush Hall in Shepherd’s Bush, London, and saw frontman Perry Farrell and drummer Stephen Perkins reunited with bassist Eric Avery and guitarist Dave Navarro.

Avery reunited with the band back in 2022 – following his departure in 2010. Navarro was absent from all live dates due to an extended battle with long COVID. In the latter’s absence, he had been replaced on stage by both Queen Of The Stone Age’s Troy Van Leeuwen and former Red Hot Chili Pepper, Josh Klinghoffer.

Now, following the intimate gig at Bush Hall, a slot at Bearded Theory Festival and a gig at London’s Roundhouse, the band have confirmed that they’ll be headed stateside for a run of dates later this year.

Set to take place throughout August and September, the classic line-up will also be joined by Love & Rockets for the co-headline tour.

The shows commence with an opening night at Fontainebleau in Las Vegas on August 9, and continue throughout the month with gigs in San Diego, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Houston, New Orleans and more.

From there, 13 gigs will be held across September – kicking off with a show in Raleigh, before heading over to Atlantic City, New York, Toronto, Chicago, Indianapolis and more.

Two festival slots complete the run of US dates from Jane’s, taking place at South Star Music Festival and Evolution Festival on September 28 and 29 respectively.

General on sale commences this Friday (May 31) at 10am local time. A variety of pre-sale options are also available. Visit here to buy tickets and here to check out pre-sale information.

The aforementioned intimate gig in London not only saw the band reunite for the first time in nearly 15 years, it also saw them break out some currently unreleased new material.

This included both 2023’s ‘True Love’ – which marked their first new song in a decade – and another new track called ‘Imminent Redemption’.

They also used the 400-capacity slot to break out their first performance of  ‘Kettle Whistle’ with Navarro since 2001.

Last night, their first of two shows at Camden’s Roundhouse was given a glowing five-star review from NME, who described the shows as “proving that, nearly four decades after forming, they’re still a force to be reckoned with.”

“Now back in full swing, fan-favourites including ‘Mountain Song’, ‘Ain’t No Right’ and ‘Been Caught Stealing’ come in thick and fast, and seem to have a new lease of life that push the set to new heights,” it read.

“Not only does Navarro take every chance he gets to showcase a dizzying number of electrifying licks, but Perkins and Avery hold down the rhythm section with enough intensity to put anyone to shame — all while telepathically knowing when to toy with dynamics and take the renditions in sonic new directions.”
