JD Vance to stump for Trump at fundraisers in Los Angeles and San Diego County

Former President Donald Trump‘s running mate, Ohio Sen. JD Vance, is heading to Southern California next week to raise campaign cash and will speak at events in Los Angeles and Rancho Santa Fe.

The Los Angeles fundraiser will take place at 8 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 8 and is hosted by tech entrepreneur and venture capitalist David Sacks and his wife Jacqueline, who runs a children’s clothing brand. Former Georgia Sen. Kelly Loeffler and her husband, Jeffrey Sprecher, are also listed on the event invite as hosts.

Tickets start at $3,300 to attend the reception and range up to $25,000 per person with perks including photo opportunities, round table seats and the chance to join the host committee.

Two days prior, on Friday, Sept 6., Vance will speak at a luncheon in the San Diego County community of Rancho Santa Fe. This event is hosted by Bob and June Shillman with tickets ranging from $1,000 to $25,000. Bob Shillman is a medical philanthropist and founder of system software company Cognex Corporation.

Both events are expected to bring in big bucks for the Trump 47 Committee, a joint campaign fundraising committee led by Trump and the RNC.

As the election barrels closer, both the Trump and Harris campaigns are engaged in a fundraising frenzy. Since entering the race just over a month ago, Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign has raked in over $540 million, according to a memo released by campaign chair Jen O’Malley Dillon on Sunday.

Meanwhile, Trump’s campaign committee and related affiliates reported raising nearly $140 million in July and holding $327 million cash on hand at the start of August.

Sacks, one of the hosts of the upcoming Los Angeles event, is a close friend of Tesla CEO Elon Musk and part of a growing group of Silicon Valley executives backing the Trump campaign.

In June, Sacks and his wife hosted Trump for a fundraiser at their Pacific Heights mega-mansion, where event tickets started at $50,000. In July, Sacks delivered a fiery speech at the RNC in Milwaukee accusing Democrats of ruining San Francisco.

“In my hometown of San Francisco, Democrat rule has turned the streets of our beautiful city into a cesspool of open encampments and open drug use,” said Sacks, closing his speech by calling Trump the candidate to restore “order in our cities, order at our border and order restored to a world on fire.”
