Joe Budden denies abuse allegation from ex-partner Tahiry José

Joe Budden has responded to a comment made by former partner Tahiry José accusing him of domestic violence.

Budden recently shared his thoughts on the viral footage of Diddy assaulting his ex-girlfriend and signee Cassie Ventura in a Los Angeles hotel hallway in 2016 on The Joe Budden Podcast.

“That shit was disgusting – it was almost unbearable to watch,” Budden said before calling Diddy’s apology for his actions in the viral 2016 CCTV clip “tone-deaf”, “half-hearted bullshit” and “offensive”. “What I saw in that video – horrific as it was – lends a lot of credence to anything horrific I’ve ever heard, and that’s the uncomfortable spot,” Budden added.

Beneath a post from The Shaderoom, José replied to Budden’s comments on the Diddy footage: “[Fuck outta here], who??? The irony. This is so triggering!!! I remember Joey throwing me down a flight of stairs dragging me back into the house [and] me having to talk him into letting me go. FOR HOURS!!!!

“This whole shit took me out. So hard to watch. So sorry for Cassie and every other woman who is currently going through it or has ever gone through it. It’s tough.”

Budden swiftly replied, denying the claims made against him.

“Tahiry, you are a lying, failed gold digger that has abused, targeted and manipulated many men,” he wrote. “Outside of me, you lack an identity which is why you’ve tried desperately to attach yourself to me for over 15 years. The last time I saw you I purchased a mattress from you and you were happy you made the sale, you were fine then.

“There was that night after Starlets six years ago when you invited me inside your new place, you were fine then too. You were on my body your entire last stint on Love & Hip-Hop and tried your best to disrespect my son’s mother in the process. I had to ask producers to keep you away from us like the cancer you are!! Yet you continue to slight my name online because… it’s your identity.”

He added: “I don’t speak to you or about you because it’s low vibrational. You’re a low-level Dyckman con woman [who]’s been lying about (you already know) for ages. I pray you heal and move on one day. Hopefully, this is our last exchange. Prayers to all real victims.”

The former music video star replied: “You can say WHATEVER you want about me! Those [who] know me know! I’m not scared of you anymore. You can keep bullying [and] intimidating the rest. Those [who] know you and are around you also know the truth. Sad that they continue to enable your behaviour. Your time is coming!”

José has accused Budden of assaulting her throughout their on-and-off relationship from 2005 to 2014. The model accused the rapper-turned-podcaster of abuse before, telling Hollywood Unlocked in 2020 that Budden dragged her out of a bed after looking through her phone. Budden denied the allegation at the time, telling José: “You were abusive! You used to beat my ass! You threw shit, you hit me, you kicked me, you did a whole bunch of shit.”

José denied any wrongdoing.

Other partners have accused Budden of physical abuse. In 2011, his former girlfriend Esther Baxter claimed his alleged violence caused her to have a miscarriage. The ‘Pump It Up’ rapper denied this claim in a chat with DJ Funkmaster Flex on Hot 97, saying: “For the record, just so we’re totally clear, I never hit Esther. Never, ever, ever, ever.”

Also, a video call between Budden and his ex-wife Cyn Santana leaked in 2022, in which Santana alleges Budden chased and dragged her. As she told him about the incident over the phone, Budden denied the accusations and was perplexed. “I dragged you? I laid a hand on you and dragged you where? Where did I drag you, Cyn?” Budden asked (per HotNewHipHop).

Combs, too, has a barrage of lawsuits against him for physical and sexual abuse. Last November, Cassie Ventura accused her former boss and partner of rape and assault. The two then settled the suit “to mutual satisfaction” a day later.

Back in March, producer Rodney ‘Lil Rod’ Jones for coercing him to have sex with prostitutes, drugging and threatening him, and having parties where underage girls and sex workers were present, some of whom he said were provided with laced drinks. In the same month, the ‘Bad Boy For Life’ star’s homes in Miami and LA were raided by US Homeland Security regarding a multi-state sex trafficking investigation.

Last week (May 21), former model Crystal McKinney also filed a lawsuit against Diddy, claiming the mogul drugged and sexually assaulted her in 2003 when she was 22-years-old.

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has continued to deny all allegations against him.
