Judge denies Solomon Peña’s motion to throw out some evidence

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The suspected mastermind behind the shootings at four elected official’s homes has lost a bid to get some evidence thrown out. Solomon Peña, who lost a bid for the state House of Representatives in 2022, is accused of plotting the shootings of the homes of two Bernalillo County Commissioners and two state lawmakers.


Albuquerque man pleads guilty to pointing rifle at cars

Peña challenged evidence federal prosecutors want to bring against him at trial including testimony from an accomplice claiming Peña had a list of other targets and testimony stating Peña got angry when he learned his co-defendants may testify against him. Judge Kea Riggs overruled that objection.
