Kalki 2898 AD is undoubtedly one of the most-anticipated films of 2024. Reportedly, the movie is made on a massive budget of $72 million and boasts an impressive pan-India ensemble cast. Prabhas is playing the lead role, accompanied by Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone. Meanwhile, Kamal Haasan, Disha Patani, and Shobana star as key supporting characters. Dulquer Salmaan and Mrunal Thakur cameo as Bhairava’s parents
Reports of Dulquer Salmaan and Mrunal Thakur’s cameos in Kalki 2898 AD have been making rounds on the internet for months. However, the Sita Ramam stars did not officially confirm their involvement in the project. For the unversed, Dulquer’s production company is distributing the Prabhas starrer’s Malayalam version.
A report by Times of India claimed that Dulquer Salmaan and Mrunal Thakur will play Prabhas’ character, Bhairava’s parents in the movie.
Vijay Deverakonda as Arjun
Kalki 2898 AD is based on the events of the Hindu epic Mahabharat. Multiple reports have claimed that Vijay Deverakonda will play the role of Arjun in the movie.
SS Rajamouli as Veda Vyasa or Vishwamitra
SS Rajamouli has played an important role in shaping Prabhas’ career. It was his film franchise, Baahubali, that made the actor a household name. Now, reports claim that the director is also a part of Kalki 2898 AD’s cast and will allegedly portray Ved Vyasa or Vishwamitra.
Nani
Telugu star Nani’s name has also been making rounds for having a cameo in Kalki 2898 AD. However, the rumors did not reveal what role the actor is expected to play in the movie.
For the unversed, Amitabh Bachchan is playing immortal Ashwatthama, while Deepika Padukone is the leading lady. Kamal Haasan is the lead antagonist of the movie. Helmed by Nag Ashwin, the movie is produced by Vyjayanthi Movies.
