Currently, Kalki 2898 AD is captivating the audience with action-packed visuals and stellar performances. The film hit the big screens on Thursday, June 27, 2024, and received phenomenal praise from the audience and critics.

In particular, Mahabharata fight scenes in Kalki 2898 AD touched the audience’s heart, delivering a spine-chilling experience. Additionally, the fight scene between Karna and Arjuna in the Mahabharata era is beautifully portrayed in the film. Kalki 2898 AD concluded with Bhairava’s true identity unveiled as Karna, portrayed by Rebel star Prabhas.

This revelation has left viewers in confusion, as Bhairava is depicted as a bounty hunter. Later, he pacted Yaskin’s army commander Manas to capture Sumati and fulfill his desire to go to the Complex. However, he ends up saving Sumati during the climax. Simultaneously, a flashback of the Mahabharata fight scene is shown, drawing a parallel to Bhairava’s actions.

Kalki 2898 AD fight scene: Does Prabhas play Karna of Mahabharata?

Bhairava kills Manas and rescues Sumati after accidentally getting hold of Ashwatthama’s stick while lying on the ground. Earlier, Ashwatthama narrated his story from the Mahabharata era to his young companion, revealing that his stick is not an ordinary one but a bow used by a great warrior. With the said warrior gone, the bow’s powers also disappeared, and it became a mere supporting stick for Ashwatthama.

This implies that the Mahabharata warrior was Karna himself. When Bhairava gets hold of the stick, Karna’s essence resurfaces within him, leading to Bhairava rescuing Sumati. This strongly hints at Bhairava being Karna from the bygone era.

When he killed Manas, Bhairava spoke the exact words Karna uttered to Ashwatthama when he rescued the latter from Arjuna during the Mahabharata era. This adds more credibility to Prabhas as both Bhairava and the Karna in the film.

This intriguing twist doubtless adds a new layer to Kalki 2898 AD’s narrative and sets the stage for an exciting sequel in Nag Ashwin’s cinematic universe.

As Kalki 2898 AD continues to captivate audiences, it will intriguing to see its opening day box office performance. Stay tuned for more updates!
