Coming off the success of his July 27 appearance at Newport Folk Festival at For Adams Park in Newport, R.I., Killer Mike and the Mighty Midnight Revival turned up at New York’s Blue Note venue for a three-night residency at the Greenwich Village establishment as part of the Down By Law tour. The outing supports his latest release, 2023’s Michael–the rapper’s first studio album in 11 years and recipient of Best Rap Album at this year’s Grammy Awards.
During the second night of his Blue Note-specific stand, Killer Mike entertained the audience with specific pulls off his latest studio effort, stripping the presentation for live show effect, considering the robust use of guests across the tracking list, which ranges from Andre 3000 to Ty Dolla Sign and others like Young Thug, Future and 2 Chainz.
