Set in Kota, Rajasthan, the show showcases students’ lives who register in this coaching hub to prepare for entrance exams like the IIT-JEE. The series primarily follows Vaibhav Pandey (played by Mayur More), a 16-year-old who navigates the intense and competitive environment of Kota.
Vaibhav arrives in Kota and enrolls in Prodigy Coaching Center mid-semester. However, he struggles to adapt to the rigorous academic schedule and competitive atmosphere. Soon after, they introduce him to Jeetu Bhaiya (played by Jitendra Kumar), an inspirational physics teacher who also mentors many students. As Vaibhav faces academic difficulties, he learns about the harsh realities of Kota’s coaching culture.
Vaibhav struggles with the intense competition and contemplates quitting. However, after a heart-to-heart conversation with Jeetu Bhaiya, he decides to stay and fight through the challenges, including inorganic chemistry. Moreover, Jeetu Bhaiya’s unique teaching methods and motivational talks help Vaibhav regain his focus.
Kota Factory season 1 also showcases Vaibhav’s blossoming romance with Vartika Ratawal (played by Revathi Pillai). After all, he starts preparing for the Maheshwari entrance exam only to spend time with her.
However, by the end of the season, Vaibhav passes the exam, but Vartika doesn’t. This forces him to reevaluate whether he wants to stay with his friends and Jeetu Bhaiya or join one of the best coaching centers. They all urge him to choose the latter.

In Kota Factory season 2, Vaibhav joins Maheshwari Classes, one of Kota’s top coaching institutes, after securing a high rank in the entrance test. He struggles to adapt to the new, more rigorous environment and misses his friends from Prodigy Classes. Vaibhav’s homesickness and attempts to balance studies and personal life are evident. However, his new journey at Maheshwari begins to take shape as he starts to make new friends.
Meanwhile, Jeetu Bhaiya faces challenges at Prodigy Classes and is forced to adapt to the changing dynamics of the coaching business. The stress of preparing for IIT-JEE takes a toll on Vaibhav. In addition, he experiences a breakdown due to the overwhelming pressure.
Jeetu Bhaiya steps in with valuable life lessons, coping strategies, and iconic one-liners to help him calm down. Ultimately, Vaibhav begins to find a balance between his studies and personal life. He reconnects with his old friends and finds solace in their company. Jeetu Bhaiya, on the other hand, contemplates his future and considers starting his own coaching center.
By the end of Kota Factory season 2, Vaibhav and his friends watch how IIT-JEE results impact. While some celebrate their failures, others become disappointed in missing out on the top rank. Additionally, the season ends with a tragic cliffhanger.
