Con encajada de manos en la plaza de Sant Jaume para exhibir sintonía, fotos, pero sin comparecencias ni preguntas. Sí se dio el anuncio de que el encuentro institucional será el 4 de septiembre. El PSC gobierna la ciudad después de un mandato de la extinta Convergència (2011-2015, con Xavier Trias de alcalde) y dos de los comunes de Ada Colau (2015-2023). El alcalde Jaume Collboni recuperó la vara para los socialistas en 2023. El regreso de los socialistas al Govern de la mano de Illa llega 14 años después de la experiencia del Triparito. La reunión entre Illa y Collboni permitió visualizar alguno de los cambios en la simbología del Palau de la Generalitat con la llegada del líder socialista. La bandera española se incorporó junto a la catalana, a diferencia de lo que ha pasado durante los años de ejecutivos independentistas.
