Law enforcement asking for help in Albuquerque hit-and-run crash

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) is looking for help finding a vehicle involved in a fatal hit-and-run crash. The incident occurred in the South Valley.

The crash happened at the intersection of 2nd Street and Prosperity, BCSO says. On May 22, at around 11:20 p.m., law enforcement responded to the scene to find an unconscious elderly female. That victim later died at a hospital.

Now BCSO is asking the public for information about the vehicle that may have been involved in the crash. They say a 2016 – 2021 model Chevy Malibu left the scene. BCSO says the car will have damage to the passenger-side front fender. Information can be sent to Deputy Otero at 505-755-1768.
