Los Alamos Bear Festival returns August 23-24

LOS ALAMOS, N.M. (KRQE) – The Los Alamos Bear Festival is returning to the Los Alamos Nature Center August 23 – 24.


UNM C&J department boasts new streaming studio

The festival will feature an interactive celebration of the life, habits and diets of the New Mexico black bear. The festival kicks off Friday, August 23 with the Bear Dinner. Experts will be on hand to talk about black bears. Guests will get to enjoy a buffet-style meal of foods that make up a black bear’s diet. Tickets for the dinner are limited, guests are encouraged to register in advance online.

Saturday, August 24, will be a free day from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. of fun featuring booths, games, food, scavenger hunts, crafts and more. Local, regional and statewide experts will be at the festival for guests to learn from. For more information on the Los Alamos Bear Festival, click here.
