Los Lunas Health Office offering back-to-school immunizations

LOS LUNAS, N.M. (KRQE) – Back-to-school vaccinations are being offered by the New Mexico Department of Health’s Los Lunas Health Office during July and August. The immunizations will be free and available for children ages 18 and younger regardless of whether they are a patient or have insurance.

The vaccination clinics will be available to kids by appointment only at the Los Lunas Public Health Office (445 Camino Del Rey, SW, Suite A in Los Lunas) at the following dates and times:

Tuesday-Thursday, July 9-11, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Saturday, July 13, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Tuesday-Thursday, July 16-18, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Saturday, July 20, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Saturday, Aug. 3, 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Wednesday and Thursday, Aug. 7-8, 3:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Wednesday and Thursday, Aug. 14-15, 3:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Saturday, Aug. 17, 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 100 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

To make an appointment or if you have any questions, call 505-222-0960. Parents need to bring their child’s shot record and Medicaid or private health insurance card if they have insurance, even though immunizations are provided at no cost to parents. No one will be turned away if they don’t have insurance.

People can get copies of their kid’s vaccination records at VaxViewNM.org or contact the New Mexico State Immunization Information System Help Desk at 1-833-882-6454. Help desk hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 5:0 p.m., Monday through Friday. Callers can leave a voicemail and receive a call back.
