Central Coast-based NYE music festival Lost Paradise suffered a major setback last month when ticketing company Lyte shut down.
Lyte suddenly shut down in mid-September after ten years of operation, leaving Aussie festivals Lost Paradise and Rabbits Eat Lettuce in the lurch.
According to Billboard, Lyte staff had been laid off, and potentially numerous concert promoters have been left “unpaid” for “hundreds of thousands of dollars” worth of tickets.
Lyte’s CEO and founder, Ant Taylor, told the publication that an “emergency board/creditors effort [was] underway” to find a potential buyer to repay punters and promoters affected by Lyte’s sudden shutdown.
Sharing an update ahead of an update, Simon Beckingham – the founder of Finely Tuned and Lost Paradise festival – revealed that the event has been in an “extremely complex” situation and needs a few more days to share an update with punters about what’s happening with the upcoming event.

“I’m here today to give you an update on the situation with Lyte,” Beckingham began in the video. “As you all know, Lyte has gone into administration.
“It’s an extremely complex situation. We’ve been working around the clock tirelessly to find a solution for Lost Paradise to go ahead this year.
“All I ask is you give us a few more days to finalise the next steps. We thank you for all the kind words and support; it really has kept us going. We will share more information with you shortly.”
Lost Paradise is set to take place at the Glenworth Valley (Darkinjung Country) in NSW from Saturday, 28 December, to Wednesday, 1 January 2025.
The festival will host FISHER, Marlon Hoffstadt, Sammy Virji, Tinashe, Royel Otis, Confidence Man, Kita Alexander, Nick Ward, Caribou, Flight Facilities (to perform their Decades Set), Telenova, Radio Free Alice, Interplanetary Criminal, CC:Disco!, Dameeela, Dr Karl, and many more.
Tickets went on sale in late August. After Lyte went dark, the event halted sales of accommodation upgrades, Parking Passes and VIP upgrades.
