The success of the popular tvN K-drama Lovely Runner only seems to increase daily, even after its conclusion, setting new milestones and records. Multiple news outlets reported that the Lovely Runner OST album recorded the highest number of pre-orders among all OSTs to date. The series had a successful 16-episodic run on tvN and Viki. Its OST soundtrack contains popular songs from various artists, including Eclipse’s “Sudden Shower,” sung by lead actor Byeon Woo-Seok.
Lovely Runner premiered on April 8, 2024, and quickly rose to become one of the most beloved and popular K-dramas of the year. The story follows fangirl Im Sol (Kim Hye-Yoon), who travels back in time to save the life of her favorite idol, Ryu Sun-Jae (Byeon Woo-Seok). The storyline, the actors, and the OSTs grew in popularity, leading to huge pre-order sales for the Lovely Runner OST album.
Byeon Woo-Seok’s Lovely Runner OST album creates new record
Lovely Runner OST has been extremely popular amongst viewers of the tvN K-drama. The OST soundtrack not only features the band Eclipse’s songs that they played on the show but also holds contributions from various artists. As per the news outlet’s report, the OST soundtrack has a total of 54 songs, including both singing tracks and scores. Meanwhile, Eclipse’s “Sudden Shower” even charted on the Melon Top 100.
Other songs that also succeeded in making their way through fans’ hearts include “Run Run,” “You & I,” “Because I’ll Meet You,” and others. Several other artists have contributed to the OST soundtrack. 10 CM, famous for his OST releases, enthralled listeners and Lovely Runner viewers with “Spring Snow,” one of the most popular songs from the series.
The Lovely Runner OST album consists of three CDs. The first CD features the Eclipse Special Album, or Eclipse Star version, consisting of songs that the fictional band performed in the drama. Meanwhile, the second and third CDs contain the singing and score tracks, respectively.
A few other popular songs from the Lovely Runner OST album include N.Flying’s “Star,” Ha Sung-Woon’s “Gift,” Deundeun Man’s “Super Ultraman,” UMJI’s “Can I Tell You This Feeling,” and Minnie ((G)I-DLE)’s “Because It’s Like a Dream,” among others.
