Man accused of killing friend’s uncle in Albuquerque appears in court

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – A man accused of murdering his friend’s uncle last week friend’s uncle last week made his first appearance in court on Monday. According to the criminal complaint, Alex Trujillo was riding in his friend’s car when it broke down near Walter and Coal.

His friend’s dad, along with his uncle, Kevin Moore, came to help. While they were trying to fix the flat, Trujillo threw a rock through a nearby car’s back window. Moore told Trujillo to stop and Trujillo shot him four times killing him. Trujillo is facing charges of first-degree murder and tampering with evidence. The state has filed for pretrial detention. A hearing date has not been set.
