ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – A man who was included on the Albuquerque Police Department’s “Top 10 Burglary Offender List” was arrested on Monday. David Johnson, 55, was wanted for reportedly targeting multiple antique businesses and other stores in the city between October 2023 and June 2024.
Detectives began working a serial burglary case and believe Johnson burglarized the following stores:
Old Town Antiques
U Neek Findings
Lil’s Collectables
Antique Specialty Mall
Jackalope
Summit Electrical Supply Store
McDade-Woodcock Inc.,
Thomason Stone Supply
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Gym
Johnson was identified through photo arrays and with the assistance of witnesses, police said. He has been charged with three counts of larceny over $20,000, four counts of larceny over$2,500, two counts of larceny over $500, seven counts of non-residential burglary, three counts of criminal damage to property over $1,000, three counts of criminal damage to property under $1,000, five counts of receiving stolen property under $250, receiving stolen property over $250, and larceny under $250.
Johnson is in custody and was rebooked on his new warrant.
