A man was hospitalized after being shot Saturday evening in what police believe was a gang shooting in a parking lot at the Northridge Fashion Center.
The shooting occurred around 10:40 p.m. in the 9300 block of Tampa Avenue, the Los Angeles Police Department said. Footage from freelance videographer Key News Network showed blood on the driver’s headrest of a white Cadillac Escalade parked in front of the California Pizza Kitchen, which was closed off with crime scene tape.
The man was hospitalized in critical condition. No additional information about the crime or the victim was available on Sunday morning.
The shooting was believed to be gang-related, police said.
The restaurant is usually open until 11 p.m. on Saturdays, according to the CPK website.
