Milder and drier Friday

Drier air begins moving into northern New Mexico today, with isolated storms returning to southern parts of New Mexico. Temperatures will also be a couple degrees cooler across the state.

High pressure starts building over the Four Corners this weekend, setting up another monsoon pattern in New Mexico. This will bring daily storm chances mainly in the mountains of northern, western, and central New Mexico. Storms will move south bringing rain chances to the adjacent areas later in the afternoon and evening. Colliding outflow boundaries will bring very isolated storm chances in the Albuquerque Metro Sunday through Tuesday. Temperatures will also be warming thanks to the high pressure. Climbing back above normal by the middle of next week.
