Mission: Yozakura Family episode 13, titled “Tanpopo,” will see Taiyo and Shion investigating the Asano family’s death. The episode will also introduce the criminal organization Tanpopo and its relation to the accident.

The latest episode starts with Detective Hotokeyama and the rest of the police worried about an escaped convict. Elsewhere, Taiyo opens his bag to find an old man emerging from it. Despite the man calling himself his grandpa, Taiyo wastes no time in shooting him with his gun. Mutsumi then arrives and clears everything up, introducing him as their grandfather, Ban. He tries to take Taiyo out for a fun night but is stopped by Kyoichiro, who tells him to return to jail and complete his mission.
Ban quickly escapes with Taiyo, showing why he is regarded as a master spy. The two end up at a bar, and the latter tries to keep him from exposing state secrets to the hostesses. After their back-and-forth battle, the two share a drink, and Ban talks to him about his wife and marrying into the family. However, their conversation is interrupted by Mutsumi, who enters with her grandma Keiko. She handcuffs herself to Ban and drags him away.

Mutsumi reveals the reason Ban had escaped was to celebrate their anniversary together. The next day, the family decides to go to the mall to buy some things for the house. Taiyo follows Mutsumi as everyone else splits up. He is shocked to find out the store has everything, including hand grenades and live ammunition.
Taiyo is approached by a girl looking for her father, and he and Mutsumi go to look for him. They find him in trouble with some thugs, but Taiyo saves him. They then try to go after Taiyo but are all beaten down by the entire family. The episode ends with everyone leaving the mall together.
