Former AEW World Champion MJF shockingly turned heel on the latest edition of Dynamite and attacked Daniel Garcia. Last week on Dynamite, Garcia confronted MJF but surprisingly praised the ‘Salt of the Earth.’ Garcia even spoke positively about their match from last year’s episode of AEW Dynamite, praising MJF’s world title reign. He also mentioned that he is thankful for how MJF sees him as one of the pillars of All Elite Wrestling.
MJF then praised Daniel Garcia’s recent rise in the promotion. He also hinted at a potential match between them at AEW’s next pay-per-view, All In, set for Wembley Stadium. Fans responded loudly to the tease of a match at All In. However, their discussion was interrupted by AEW International Champion Will Ospreay.
While MJF talked about a potential match with Garcia at All In, Ospreay stole the spotlight by announcing his own title defense against Garcia on Dynamite. This left MJF visibly upset, ignored, and exchanging glances with Ospreay.
This week on Dynamite, Ospreay defeated Daniel Garcia in a thrilling match for the AEW International Championship. Garcia was distracted by MJF, who offered him the use of his Dynamite Diamond ring. However, Garcia refused the offer, and this distraction allowed Ospreay to hit him with the Hidden Blade for the win.
After the match, MJF hugged Garcia, but in a shocking turn of events, he then attacked him, leaving Garcia bloodied. The former AEW World Champion has now broken his silence on X (formerly Twitter) following his vicious attack on Garcia.
MJF to explain his actions on AEW Collision
The former AEW World Champion, MJF, is scheduled to appear on AEW Collision this Saturday in Southaven, MS. Maxwell’s recent tweet also suggests that he will address his vicious attack on Daniel Garcia.
It will be interesting to see what the ‘Salt of the Earth’ will have to say about his actions. He may also face confrontation from Will Ospreay, who entered the ring following the attack on Garcia.
