More moisture coming to New Mexico this weekend

Dry air takes temporary hold of New Mexico Today. Temperatures stay warm and dry in the Metro for the State Fair.

After yesterdays rain, dry air is once again moving through New Mexico. Spotty Showers can be expected in the far southeast and in the Gila National Forest. Most of New Mexico will stay dry.

However, this lack of moisture is only temporary. Later today more moisture will be brought into New Mexico from the south. The new moisture will allow for isolated rain on Saturday. The Northern Mountains and the far Southeast will have the best chances for rain.

On Sunday, the high pressure over the four corners will continue to strengthen. This will bring more moisture to Northern New Mexico Sunday afternoon allowing for more isolated storms. These isolated storms will continue through next week. The best chance for rain will be in the Northern Mountains.
