The spring 2024 anime lineup lived up to its hype, and the summer season looks even better. From quirky romance to high-octane Isekai adventures, there is something for everyone this summer. The season will also see some exciting anime return, like Oshi no Ko and Fairy Tail. In that regard, here are some of the most-anticipated anime coming out this summer.
Wistoria: Wand and Sword

Despite his severe handicap, he is an adept swordsman who will try to fulfill his dream in his own way.
Oshi no Ko Season 2

Following the massive success of season one, Oshi no Ko returns with a new season. The last episode of season one left fans excited to see the growing relationship between Kana and Aqua. However, the second season will see Aqua, Kana, and Akane cast to play in the Tokyo Blade stage adaptation. It will explore the awkward love triangle and the longstanding rivalry between Kana and Akane. The anime will premiere on July 3, 2024.
Suicide Squad Isekai

DC’s Suicide Squad Isekai is arguably the most-anticipated anime of this year. It has already garnered a massive following since the release of its first promotional video. The anime takes place in Gotham City, which is in peril over the appearance of a gate. Amanda Waller assembles a task force of supervillains and sends them through the gate. However, they discover that the world there is very different from their own. Harley and her team must now find a way to conquer this new fantasy world.
Tower of God Season 2
Rachel’s shocking betrayal left fans fuming at the end of season one of Tower of God. The new season of this anime will see Bam continue his journey through the tower under a new name and with a different mission. SIU’s Tower of God has been consistently praised for its epic storytelling and impeccable world-building techniques. Season two builds on these skills as it explores the tower in its own unique way. The anime will premiere in July.
Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian

The anime follows the story of Alisa, a beautiful half-Russian, half-Japanese girl who is seen as the idol of her school. Her looks alone have captured the hearts of several boys in her class, except for her benchmate, Masachika. Despite being a known otaku, Masachika is the only guy who receives Alisa’s attention. Using Russian, Alisa expresses her feelings for him, believing no one in the class could understand her. However, Masachika understands her words but chooses to play dumb for his own amusement. The anime will be released this summer on July 3, 2024.
My Deer Friend Nokotan
The anime follows Torako, who is regarded as the most perfect human being in her entire class. However, she has a checkered past as a troublesome delinquent. One day, on her way to school, she rescues a strange deer girl called Noko. Noko then transfers to her school and ropes her into many weird mishaps while threatening to expose her checkered past.
Fairy Tail: 100-Year Quest

Fans had to wait six long years for the return of one of their most beloved adventure series, and now the wait is over. The series takes place a year after Zeref’s defeat and focuses on Natsu’s team as they take on the unbeatable 100-year quest. They embark on a mission to seal the Five Dragon Gods, a dragons’ group with power to rival Acnologia.
