Mr. Lauryn Hill and the Fugees have pulled out of their U.S. tour without explanation. The quiet cancellation came in the form of removed concert dates from the acts’ Ticketmaster page and a follow-up email that alerted ticket holders about the change in plans, as well as refund details.

Rather than address the shift, silence has been an overcoming theme since late Tuesday night, August 6, when ticket holders received an email that simply and concisely read, “Your event has been canceled. A refund will be on its way to your account shortly.”

Prior to the tour shutdown, Hill and the Fugees were expected to commence their run on Friday, August 9, in Tampa, Fla., extending the tour till late September, where it would culminate to a close in Holmdel, N.J. With the aforementioned dates scrapped from the calendar, the groups’ continued motif of cancellations continues.

This is the third tour change in a string of last-minute moves from Hill and the Fugees. Before last night’s latest decision, Hill shared a message to fans and followers on Nov. 22, 2023, writing, “As many of you may know, I’ve been battling serious vocal strain for the past month. I made it through each show by taking prescribed prednisone, but this can be detrimental to the body when taken in large amounts over long periods of time. In order to prevent any long term negative affect on my voice and my body, I need to take time off to allow for real vocal recovery so that I can discontinue the medication completely.”

Prior to health-related concert pushback, the pandemic prevented the arrival of 2021 dates and ultimately postponed them until 2022.

Despite the current shift, Hill and the Fugees’ European 2024 dates remain on the calendar. For more information, visit Ticketmaster.com.
