Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation season 2 episode 20 began with Rudeus and Elinalise continuing their journey and finally meeting Geese. Soon enough, Rudeus saw his father, Paul, who seemed to be devastated and broke down upon seeing his son. He admitted he could not save Zenith and failed Rudeus as a father. He also apologized to Elinalise for their history. Watching Paul’s sorrow made Rudeus feel grateful that he agreed to go to Begaritt.
Rudeus lightened the mood by sharing that he married Sylphiette, and the couple was about to welcome their first child together. As Rudeus, Paul, Geese, Talhand, and Elinalise discussed the circumstances, Paul told Rudeus that Zenith had been stuck inside a labyrinth for the past six years. Moreover, Roxy did not come back after she stepped on a teleportation circle.
While Paul refused to acknowledge that Roxy was most likely dead, others tried to snap him out of denial. Hearing the news made Rudeus zone out as he realized that Roxy might be dead. The group then ventured towards the labyrinth, where they encountered various monsters. Towards the end of the episode, Rudeus stopped and realized that Roxy was on the other side of the wall. The latter was almost on the verge of dying when Rudeus saved her just in time.
