Can This Love Be Translated?‘s cast member, Sota Fukushi, is a Japanese actor who will soon appear in his first South Korean drama. He will share screen space with Kim Seon-Ho and Go Youn-Jung in the upcoming K-drama.
Sota Fukushi rose to fame in 2011 with his drama series, Kamen Rider Fourze. Later, he appeared in other popular shows like Koinaka, My Lover’s Secret, Goodbye Ghosts!, Meiji Kaika: Shinjuro Tanteicho, and In His Chart. The Japanese actor has also starred in J-films such as Strobe Edge, Bleach, Kaiji: Final Game, and My Tomorrow, Your Yesterday.

Sota Fukushi stars in Netflix K-drama Can This Love Be Translated?
In Can This Love Be Translated?, Sota Fukushi’s character name has not been announced yet. However, it is confirmed that he will appear in a supporting role, alongside Lee Yi-Dam and Choi Woo-Sung. In a recent Netflix post, the cast was snapped together during their dialogue rehearsal.
The upcoming K-drama revolves around a multilingual interpreter, Joo Ho-Jin (Kim Seon-Ho), and global superstar Cha Mu-Hee (Go Youn-Jung). They get entangled in each other’s lives when Ho-Jin becomes the top star’s interpreter. He is fluent in many languages, including Italian, Japanese, and English.
According to MyDramaList, the synopsis reads, “The story is about a man who works as an interpreter and an actress who speaks an entirely different love language from his. Due to their polar opposite approaches to talking about love, the two of them repeatedly misunderstand one another and get frustrated as their intentions get lost in translation.”
Furthermore, the director is Yoo Young-Eun (Bloody Heart), and the screenwriters are Hong Jung-Eun and Hong Mi-Ran. The Hong sisters are known for Alchemy of Souls, Hotel del Luna, and A Korean Odyssey. Meanwhile, the new project looks promising with an amazing cast, including Japanese actor Sota Fukushi. The release date of Can This Love Be Translated? is yet to be announced.
