New Mexico looking for input on Paseo del Volcan road project

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) wants input from residents living near Paseo del Volcan. An online community survey is helping shape the ongoing project.

The big picture is that the state is working to eventually connect Paseo del Volcan to I-40 as a way to bypass Albuquerque traffic. The state has been working to obtain rights-of-way. Now, they want to hear from residents as they develop the road’s exact alignment and configuration.

You can find the survey at this link. The state has already mailed paper copies of the survey to some residents. The survey closes on July 14, 2024.

There will be a public meeting later in July to discuss the survey results. NMDOT has not yet scheduled that meeting.
