ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – A new trial date has been set for the candidate accused of orchestrating the shootings of lawmakers’ homes after he failed to win a seat in the house in 2022. Solomon Peña’s trial was set for earlier this week but it was vacated.
The only explanation given was that Peña’s lawyer no longer represented him. But now, a judge has appointed a new attorney and set a trial date. Jury selection is set to begin on October 28.
