The former One Direction member wrapped up his huge 2024 ‘The Show’ world tour last week, in support of his third solo record of the same name – which was released in June 2023.

During his final concert of the trek at the Movistar Arena in Bogota, Colombia last Wednesday (October 9), Horan confirmed that fans wouldn’t be seeing him again any time soon.

“This stands from tomorrow onwards, you’ll never find me,” he told the audience (via The Mirror).

“I’m gonna be hungover as fuck tomorrow! And I’m gonna disappear for a while. I’m gonna make you guys a brand new album and I will be back, I promise.”

Reflecting on the tour in a post on social media after the gig, the singer wrote: “Night Eighty-Seven Bogotá. The last night of The Show Live On Tour. The past 8 months have just been incredible.

“I’ll never be able to thank you all enough for what you’ve done for me. Every single one of you who came out to each show and made it all an unforgettable experience. Let’s do it all again sometime. Love you.”

Horan played a date at London’s O2 in September as part of ‘The Show’ tour.

Speaking to NME ahead of the album’s release, the pop star explained: “The last time I wrote an album I did less thinking. You don’t in your early 20s, you don’t think too much at all – well I didn’t anyway, probably just immaturity of me.

“But I think with pandemics and relationships and things like that, you subconsciously grow as a person. And then production wise and what I’m saying [lyrically], it just sounds like something that a 30-year-old would release. Not a youthful version of what I did before.”

In other One Direction news, Liam Payne has reportedly postponed the release of his second solo album while Zayn Malik has shared details of his first UK and US solo tour.
