One of the few remaining life-sims in development, INZOI is releasing its character creator for a short time, and it looks scarily realistic

After potential Sims competitors such as Life By You bit the dust unexpectedly earlier this year, it left the path clear for Korean life-sim, the rather uncatchily titled INZOI, to have a crack at the crown held by EA/Maxis’ aging but enduring long-running franchise.

A quick look at the images here shows that graphically, INZOI’s characters look the real deal, and for a short period, publisher Krafton is going to make the character creator a free download on Steam so you can start to get to grips with people your own little computer people for yourself.

Why the time-limited download we are not sure – it seems as though it will operate more as a short demo of the software’s capabilities, but the character creator will be available between 21st August (9:00 PM PST/12:00 AM EST) until 26 August 26 (9:00 PM PST/12:00 AM EST) – so just a short five-day window there.

Inzoi’s characters are called Zois and a quick look at the video above will give you a pretty good insight into the kinds of customizations we will be able to do at this point – when the game comes out for real it promises to have a huge amount you can change and tweak around your Zoi’s looks, lives and even living conditions.

You will be able to pose your created Zoi at this stage but there is no word on whether anything you create at this point in the overall game’s life will be able to be imported into the game when it finally releases.

In terms of that date, all we have is a Coming Soon, but we are hopeful things are now getting closer with this demo release. After the shock cancellation of Life By You earlier this year, we are clinging to Inzoi for some meaningful Sims competition.
