Pokémon Go’s ‘Max Out’ season start date revealed, along with September Community Day

The next season of Pokémon Go is Max Out, beginning Sept. 3 and running until Dec. 3. The new season has been teased repeatedly, with developer Niantic tight-lipped about the details, but it appears to be linked to both Dynamax and Gigantamax Pokémon.

All we have seen so far are some Jurassic Park-themed water cup vibrations and the feet of a few familiar titans of the Pokémon world. But they aren’t the only stars of the show in this trailer. three familiar friends, and their rather tiny feet, also make an appearance.

So it looks like Gen 8 starters Scorbunny, Grookey, and Sobble will finally join the mobile game. Most fans on social media echoed the sentiment, with multiple “FINALLY!” replies.

That’s not all to look forward to in September as the most recent Community Day and the two featured Pokémon have ben announced.

Pokémon Max Out and September Community Day

Ponyta and Galarian Ponyta will be the cover stars of Pokemon Go September’s Community Day and will appear a lot more frequently for Trainers trying to catch them.

Niantic have also said, via the release that if you evolve either Ponyta or Galarian Ponyta then you’ll gain a Rapidash or Galarian Rapidash that knows the Charged Attack Wild Charge.

Event bonuses for the competition are:

Event Bonuses
2× Candy for catching Pokémon.
3× Stardust for catching Pokémon.
2× chance for Trainers level 31 and up to receive Candy XL from catching Pokémon.
Lure Modules activated during the event will last for three hours.
Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) activated during the event will last for three hours.
Take a few snapshots during Community Day for a surprise!
One additional Special Trade can be made for a maximum of two for the day.
Trades will require 50% less Stardust.
