Postpartum Support International holds ‘The Climb’ event

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Postpartum Support International is the world’s leading non-profit organization dedicated to helping those suffering from perinatal mood disorders, the most common complication of childbirth. Their goal is to increase awareness, education, prevention and treatment of prenatal mental health issues affecting individual in all areas of the state.

The Climb, a family friendly walk, is an annual event that’s held world wide in June. In Albuqueruqe, the Postpartum Support International is sponsoring the event on June 29 at Mariposa Basin Park. Survivors of postpartum depression (PPD), anxiety, OCD, bipolar disorder, and psychosis from all over the world will walk, stroll or climb together at a local park or hiking trail to symbolize their collective rise out of the darkness.
