Pups hit the catwalk for 2024 ‘Mutt Strutt’ fundraiser

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – On Sunday, dogs and their humans strutted their stuff down the catwalk, but there were no cats on this runway!

The event, hosted at Altura Park, was a community effort to raise money for Positive Links, a vegan non-profit dedicated to raising awareness of the connection between animal abuse and human violence.

City Councilor Tammy Fiebelkorn was also there to show her support and reinforce the need to adopt.

“We have a lot of adoptable dogs here today from Albuquerque Animal Welfare, from lap dog rescue, from pitties and kitties,” said Fibelkorn.

Attendance was free, but to strut the catwalk, pet parents had to register pups in advance for $10.
