Quiet weather continues for the week

Temperatures slightly cool off today. Rain chances stay minimal in the higher elevations.

An upper level ridge has formed over New Mexico. This ridge will be in place through the middle of the week. Generally speaking, the ridge will be keeping the clear and quiet weather in New Mexico. It is allowing for small amounts of moisture to creep into the Northern Mountains and Gila Wilderness around mid-week.

This moisture will provide the Northern Mountains and Gila Wilderness with spotty showers on Wednesday. These could be a combination of normal showers and evaporating showers. The state is expected to dry out once again by the end of the week. Rain could return again early next week.

A cold front moved through New Mexico yesterday. This successfully brought down temperatures for most of New Mexico by at least a few degrees. Temperatures across the state remain consistent with today through the rest of the week. However, temperatures will heat up once again over the weekend.
