Radio Music Director Of The Year Nominees Revealed

The finalists for the 2024 Australian Commercial Radio & Audio (ACRA) Awards are here. The winners will be revealed at The Star in Sydney on Saturday, 12 October.

Featuring awards such as Best On-Air Team, Individual Talent of the Year, Station of the Year, Podcast Host/s of the Year, Best News Event Coverage, and Best News Presenter, there are also a string of music-related categories, such as the Gudinski Award, named after the legendary Michael Gudinski, Music Director of the Year, and Best Music Feature, which The Music is covering today. Radioinfo reports 1,159 entries were made across 71 awards, with Individual Talent of the Year receiving the most submissions.

As far as music goes, nominees include Aus Music Month on iHeartRadio in Sydney, Jessica Mauboy’s Love Song Dedications, Taylor Swift Triple M Versions (which featured Paul Kelly, Sarah McLeod and The Screaming Jets – pictured above), The Maddy Rowe Aus Music Show, and more. In a statement, the Commercial Radio & Audio (CRA) Chief Commercial Officer, Jo Dick, said of this year’s nominees: “Congratulations to all the finalists for their outstanding work and dedication.
