RedHook have announced an enormous national tour in support of their anthemic new single, Breaking Up With, with eight dates on the itinerary for this August and September.

With a truly epic trio of support acts – The Beautiful Monument, Eat Your Heart Out and Patient Sixty-Seven – the band will kick things off at the UC Hub in Canberra (Ngunnawal), playing there on Friday August 30 before they hit The Station in Jindabyne (Ngarigo) the following night (August 31). From there, the ultimate Aussie touring crew will roll through Perth (Boorloo – Thursday September 5 at Amplifier), Melbourne (Naarm – Friday September 6 at 170 Russell) and Adelaide (Kaurna – Saturday September 7 at Uni Bar).
Rounding out the trek will be one more bracket of three back-to-back shows, with shows locked in at King Street in Newcastle (Mulubinba) on Thursday September 12, Manning Bar in Sydney (Gadigal) on Friday September 13, and The Triffid in Brisbane (Meanjin) on Saturday September 14. In a press release shared today (May 28), frontwoman Emmy Mack said of the upcoming run: “It’s been 16 months between Soju shots, but we’re ready for a full send! We couldn’t be more excited to hit the road with this insanely good lineup (to be honest, I’m very excited for the ladies’ bathroom to be extra crowded on this tour) and hang with all our legendary fans, who are the entire reason we do what we do. See you in the saxophone circle pit!”
Breaking Up With arrived last month as RedHook’s second new tune for 2024, following the release of Scream 2 in February. Both tracks – alongside Tourist, which the band dropped last November – will appear on a longform release that’s set to be announced in the coming months. It’ll be the follow-up to RedHook’s debut album, Postcard From A Living Hell, which they released independently last April.
