Report: Reacher Spin-off Series With Maria Sten’s Frances Neagley in Development

A spin-off series of the fan-favorite action show Reacher is currently in development at Amazon. The news follows after Reacher Season 2 became an instant hit on the video streaming platform after its release in December 2023. However, according to the sources, Jack Reacher won’t be the main highlight of this spin-off series and fans will witness Maria Stern’s character Frances Neagley leading from the front after she played a significant part in Season 2. Here are all the details for fans to know regarding the Reacher spin-off series.

Amazon reportedly developing Reacher spin-off series for Prime Video

Sources confirm that a spin-off series of Reacher, which is currently untitled, will have Maria Stern as the lead.

In Reacher, Maria Stern plays the role of Frances Neagley, who is an investigative assistant and the ex-military partner of Jack Reacher, played by Alan Ritchson. According to Deadline, fans will thus witness Stern continuing her stint as Neagley in the spin-off series as well. Following the release of Reacher, which is based on the book series Jack Reacher by Lee Child, Frances Neagley instantly became one of the most admired characters from the show.

As per the revelations made by several sources, the spin-off series will have the executive producer of Reacher, Nick Santora coming in to write the screenplay with Law and Order and Prison Break writer, Nicholas Wootton.

Furthermore, these are the only details about the spin-off which are currently available for the public to access. With this move, fans can expect the Reacher universe to expand and open doors for numerous other opportunities.

Additionally, after the success of Season 2, Reacher was renewed for a third season in December 2023. According to the details shared by Alan Ritchson at that time, the much-awaited Season 3 will adapt Persuader. It is the seventh book from Lee Child’s Jack Reacher books.
