Reports: Did Shane McMahon Attend AEW Shows Backstage?

Former WWE Superstar Shane McMahon’s potential involvement with AEW has been gaining momentum due to recent speculation. Some time ago, he was spotted at an airport with AEW’s executive vice presidents, The Young Bucks.

The reports revealed that Shane McMahon described his encounter with The Young Bucks at the airport as coincidental. Reports indicate that McMahon was seen chatting and laughing with The Bucks before boarding their flight. According to sources, McMahon told someone on the flight that it was a coincidence they were on the same flight.

In recent months, Shane McMahon has met with AEW star Mercedes Mone and had a secret meeting with owner Tony Khan. Coupled with his recent encounter with The Young Bucks, speculation is rife about McMahon potentially joining AEW. This could be because he is currently not under contract with WWE. Amidst these speculations, recent reports have also explored whether McMahon has attended any recent AEW shows secretly backstage.

Shane McMahon’s backstage presence at AEW show revealed

According to Fightful Select behind paywall, Shane McMahon only encountered Mercedes Mone and The Young Bucks at airports by chance. However, his meeting with Tony Khan was a planned event. The report also clarified that McMahon was not seen backstage at the AEW Grand Slam and has not attended any AEW shows.

While reports clarify that Shane McMahon has not attended any AEW shows despite his recent encounters with the promotion’s stars, fans continue to speculate. They connect the ongoing storyline involving Jon Moxley and the Blackpool Combat Club attacking Bryan Danielson.

With Danielson set to defend his AEW World Title against Moxley at WrestleDream, fans believe this could lead to McMahon’s arrival to help Moxley win. The show is scheduled on October 12 at the Tacoma Dome in Tacoma, Washington. It will be intriguing to see what drama unfolds during this match.
