Romania’s First Five-Star Villa Resort by Radisson Blu in the Making

Grand Development, a real estate company founded and led by entrepreneur Ionuț Nicolescu, has partnered with the Radisson Hotel Group to open Romania’s first five-star villa resort under the Radisson Blu brand. The investment amounts to 14 million euros.

The project is already under construction in a 2.6-hectare mountain clearing near Brașov, near a centuries-old forest in the Carpathian Mountains – one of Europe’s wilderness oases, and 20 minutes from Brașov – Ghimbav International Airport, from the center of Brașov, the famous Bran Castle and Poiana Brașov. The investment is 14 million euros.

The opening of the Radisson Blu Grand Mountain Resort is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2026. Upon completion, the project will have 46 individual and adjoining Scandinavian chalet-style villas with large glazed spaces, as well as 20 hotel rooms, all accommodation units classified as five stars.

We see a huge potential on the Romanian market. We use our hospitality experience to build hotels and accommodation in attractive holiday destinations. This new and unique Radisson Blu project, located in such a sought-after mountain destination, is the perfect complement to our existing portfolio in Romania and will offer our guests a wide variety of options”, said David Jenkins, Vice President Business Development Radisson Hotel Group.

A SPA center with an indoor pool, a wellness and fitness center and several conference rooms will also be built here.
