Sailors participate in Albuquerque Navy Week

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Albuquerque Navy Week runs from September 9 – 15 and bring sailors from across the fleet to educate and inform people on the importance and impact of the Navy to Albuquerque and New Mexico.

Over 50 sailors from multiple Navy organizations will be participating in a variety of events throughout the week, including being at the New Mexico State Fair all week. Admiral Stuart Munsch says Albuquerque is important to the Navy with a lot of research and development happening here. The sailors will be at different events across the city, including schools, Roadrunner Foodbank, National Museum of Nuclear Science and History, Habitat for Humanity and the New Mexico State Fair.
