Santa Fe Archdiocese sets up plaque dedicated to clergy sex abuse victims

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The Santa Fe Archdiocese has set up a plaque dedicated to the victims of clergy sex abuse. The plaque, installed at the Pastoral Center at Saint Pius X High School in Albuquerque, reads in part, “The archdiocese acknowledges your pain and apologizes for our failure to listen, to intervene, and to protect.”


Muhammad Syed pleads no contest to two second degree murder charges

It does not include any religious rite or ceremony as requested by the victims. Archbishop John Wester said in a statement, “The plaque stands as a permanent and painful reminder of the suffering endured by victims within our archdiocese.”
