Santa Fe man accused of shooting teen

SANTA FE, N.M. (KRQE) – A Santa Fe man is behind bars after police said he shot and injured a 16-year-old. Police were called to the teen’s home near Frenchy’s Park early Sunday morning.


Police search for driver accused of hitting pedestrian in Rio Rancho

Police said 21-year-old DeSean Liggins and a group of people walked up to the teen’s home and shot him several times. They said more than 40 rounds of ammunition were found in the area. The teen was taken to the hospital where he was able to speak to officers. Liggins was arrested at his home hours after the shooting.

Police said they do not know the motive of the shooting but said Liggins and the teen were friends before. Liggins is facing several charges including attempted murder.
