Santa Fe spot makes TIME list of World’s Greatest Places

SANTA FE, N.M. (KRQE) – It’s no surprise that New Mexico has many spots of note, from the views to the food. TIME Magazine recently highlighted a Santa Fe spot in their World’s Greatest Places of 2024 list. The list highlights 100 different spots nationwide that focus on unburdening one of daily stressors or responsibilities.

Modern Elder Academy (MEA) in Santa Fe made the list. Described as the world’s first “midlife wisdom school” by founder Chip Conley, the academy offers workshops to offer instruction and inspiration for middle-aged people. The Santa Fe location opened in 2018 following the success of Conley’s first location in Baja, Mexico.

TIME compiled the list by soliciting nominations of places – including hotels, cruises, restaurants, attractions, museums, parks, and more – from their international network of correspondents and contributors as well as an application process. The focus was on places offering new and exciting experiences. Last year’s list only

Bambu Indah from Ubud, Indonesia also made the list as well as Sun Ranch from Coopers Shoot, Australia, and Highland Base in Kerlingarfjoll, Iceland.

MEA is located at 130 Cottonwood Run, Lamy, NM
