Sarfira stars Akshay Kumar in the lead role of Mhatre. Supporting cast members include Radhika Madan, Paresh Rawal, R. Sarathkumar, Seema Biswas, Rahul Vohra, Krishnakumar Balasubramaniam, Anil Charanjeett, and Ravi Khanvilkar. Suriya, who played the lead in Soorarai Pottru, makes an appearance as a businessman. Sudha Kongara Prasad, who helmed Soorarai Pottru, directed and wrote the film’s story and co-wrote the screenplay with Shalini Usha Devi.
