Sharon Osbourne has announced she’s working on a new superhero cartoon featuring Ozzy Osbourne and the late Motörhead frontman Lemmy Kilmister.

In an interview with The Entertainer Magazine, Sharon said of the show’s premise: “They are superheroes. It’s very, very funny. It’s irreverent and funny. Hopefully somebody will buy that and that’ll go out. We’re excited about it.”

This won’t be the first time Ozzy and Lemmy have appeared in an animated adventure together, as the pair previously featured in the 2022 cartoon music video for ‘Hellraiser’. The duo, who were friends in real life, also collaborated on Osbourne’s 1991 album No More Tears.

Meanwhile, Ozzy has recently been struggling with health issues and had to cancel an upcoming appearance at the Mad Monster Party film festival for the weekend of July 12. According to a statement from Sharon (Osbourne’s wife and manager), their son Jack will attend in Ozzy’s place.

“Regretfully, the Osbourne family have to cancel our upcoming appearance at the Mad Monster Party in Phoenix because Ozzy is unable to travel at this time,” she said in a statement. “However, Jack will be there flying the flag for the Osbournes. Everybody who bought the Osbourne package will, of course, get full refunds.

“We would like to thank you all for your constant support. It means so much to him, you have no idea. And all I can do is apologize that we won’t be there and I’m apologizing for people we’ve let down from my heart. So God bless you all. Thank you so much.”

Elsewhere, Ozzy recently appeared in an advert for Liquid Death’s brand-new product Death Dust – an electrolyte drink mix available in three flavours. The commercial clip sees two teens pouring a sachet of the drink mix into a cup while out on the street.

Osbourne then pulls up in a black SUV and stops the boys by yelling “Hey Kids. Death Dust? Take it from me, don’t snort that stuff.” One of the boys then responds to the rock icon by saying that they weren’t planning on doing so and that they were going to “mix it and hydrate”.

The singer goes on to say: “Whatever you do, don’t try freebasing it and never ever inject it. And don’t even think about boofing it, you little perverts.” He then starts to explain what “boofing” is before being cut off with a clip of the product being used correctly. The end of the advert sees Osbourne’s car speed off.
