Statewide Education Network receiving FCC funding

NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – A state program that is connecting schools across New Mexico is receiving federal funding. The Statewide Education Network is a broadband system that allows access across all connected schools.


Sandia High School gets major donation to automotive class

The program gives schools access to improved internet service and cyber security while liking the participating schools together. This allows students to share classes, resources and information.

The FCC is greenlighting more than $500,000 going toward the support of the program. The state says about 50 schools have joined the network since July 1and the FCC funding can help connect more schools. Officials say they hope to have 840 schools connected by 2027.
