Sturgill Simpson is set to host a benefit concert to support disaster relief in North Carolina. The live music event is slated for Monday, October 21, at Koka Booth Amphitheatre in Cary, N.C. The show comes after Hurricane Helene trampled the region, causing mass devastation that has resulted in the urgent need to provide resources to rebuild.

According to the event page, all funds raised through the sale of benefit concert tickets will be donated to the North Carolina Disaster Relief Fund to help with urgent recovery efforts through the use of United Way of North Carolina, which has stepped in as fiscal agents for the Fund, to bestow unmet needs via reimbursements to nonprofit organizations that are in touch with disaster victims.

The newly tacked-on live appearance falls in line with Simpson’s Why Not? Tour trajectory. Having already signed on to perform at the Koka Booth Amphitheatre on Oct. 22, the artist will now stay for two consecutive nights before continuing his run throughout the Southern region of the U.S. and eventually up the East Coast through the end of November–supporting his Johnny Blue Skies debut, Passage Du Desir, which arrived back in July.

Tickets for the benefit show will be available beginning with a local venue presale at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 10, and then general on-sale following Friday, October 11, at 10:00 a.m.
