ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – “Sugar Skull! A Día de Muertos Musical Adventure” is coming to Popejoy Hall on Sunday October 13 at 3 p.m. The family friendly musical was created by New York based ensemble ‘Created by Mexico.’
The musical is bicultural and bilingual and features musicians, dancers and actors. The performance follows a 12-year-old who is struggling in understanding her family’s Día de Muertos traditions, while her friends celebrate Halloween. Her journey helps her understand and appreciate her heritage and the cultural relevance of the tradition.
