Episode 8 picks up where the previous episode left off, with the team relishing their victory. Meanwhile, the queen’s council is divided between those supporting Harley’s team and those who do not. Upon arriving at the palace, the group is met with hostility as Theodore questions them. He diminishes their achievements and laughs at their faces before hitting Harley. However, Nanaue takes action and eats him, making the situation even more chaotic within the room.
Queen Aldora calls for their immediate execution. Meanwhile, Cecil pleads to rescue the team, but the queen asks that Nanaue be executed and the rest banished. Fione chases after them to apologize, but Harley drives her away. Elsewhere, the team gets drunk at a bar to forget their woes. After a night of drinking and fun, they go to the gate to deactivate their bombs.
While Harley questions Rick about the bombs, Amanda phones in and asks for a report. Rick explains the incident, and then she asks them to return. However, she blows up Clayface and asks that they leave Nanaue. Harley then tells Amanda to blow them up since she is set on doing it.
However, Rick intervenes, telling Amanda that the castle is under attack and they have a chance to succeed. Amanda accepts the condition but sets the bomb to 24 hours. Clayface gets up and reveals the bomb never threatened him, but he came along for the adventure. The episode ends with Fione seeing her mother controlled by some mysterious being.
