A weak cold front will move into eastern NM on Wednesday, cooling temperatures by only a few degrees. This will bring moisture into the state, and there will be a chance of a few isolated showers and thunderstorms in the northern, central and south-central mountains during the afternoon and evening. Temperatures will heat up even more through Thursday, with near-record daily high temperatures expected. Rain chances will increase Thursday through next week.
